Zach is having a strong junior season. After some early lumps, he has found his swing again and is back driving the baseball like he can. Against Yucca Valley on Thursday, Zach had 3 hits, including a double, scored 2 runs and drove in another. Zach is two year varsity player and a team leader. He is a great player to coach is only getting better.
Alec has been a solid addition to the Wildcats. Since transferring in from Joshua Springs, Alec has had to adjust to his position on the team. Saturday afternoon, Alec had his best pitching performance of the season, allowing 3 hits and 1 unearned run to the Bears while striking out 4 over 7 innings. Alec has grown a lot since the fall and looks to improve on his last performance.
Ray has had a great start this season. He is a hard-worker and a true team player. This past week he had a 2 RBI single against La Quinta to give the Cats an early lead, and had 3 RBI in the Cats victory against Perris on Saturday. Ray is the constant professional on the field and does whatever he can to make himself and his teammates better.
Justin Tuttle/ Sean Lopez Justin and Sean are the aces of the Wildcat pitching staff, and both showed it this week giving the team 2 strong pitching outings as the Wildcats started their season with a perfect 4 – 0 record. Sean and Justin have been working hard all off-season preparing for this baseball season on and off the field. Sean and Justin are good team leaders and look to carry the team on their backs through the De Anza League and CIF Playoffs.
Zach had a great start to his senior season. He had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s in the first game of the double-header. Then he came off the bench in the first inning of game 2 to through 4 solid innings for the Cats and picked up his first varsity win as a pitcher. Zach is a 3 year varsity player and a leader to this team. The coaching staff appreciates all that he has given over his 4 years and looks forward to a great season from him.
