Posted: Thu, Feb 24 2011 Congratulations to Klay Park for being selected as the Varsity Basketball Player of the Week. For the 4th consecutive week, Klay Park has been named the Player of The Week for the Western Indians.
In Tuesday nights game at East, Klay scored 16 points on 6/15 shooting. He was 2/6 from downtown and 2/2 from the line. Klay also pulled down 7 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and had 1 steal.
Wednesday at Eastern, Park scored 17 points and 6/17 shooting including an impressive 5/11 performance from three point land. He also pulled down 6 rebounds and dished out 1 assist.
In Fridays home matchup against New Boston, Klay again led the Indians in scoring with 14 points. This time he did it on 5/17 shooting, 2/9 from three point land, and 2/2 from the FT line. Klay also had a good all-around game as he grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 2 assists.
In the final game of the week against SHL Power Peebles, Klay had 13 points on 4/13 shooting including 1/5 from long range and 4/4 from the FT line. He also had 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block.
For the week, Klay averaged 15 PPG, 5.25 RPG, and 1.5 APG. He did all of this while hitting 10 three pointers.View Previous Selections
Posted: Mon, Feb 07 2011 Congratulations to Dustin Humphrey for being selected as the JV Basketball Player of the Week. For the second consecutive week, Freshman guard Dustin Humphrey has been named the MaxPreps Player of the Week for the Western Indians JV team.
Consistency led to Dustins selection.
In Friday nights game at Green, Dustin had 6 points on 3/11 FG. Dustin also had 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block.
In Saturdays win at New Boston Dustin again scored 6 points. He did so on 3 of 9 shooting from the field. He also had 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
For the two game week, Dustin averaged 6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.View Previous Selections
