Nathan Scott has been named player of the year. ""King" Nate Scott was the unquestioned leader of the 2023-2024 La Grange Leopards. He entered his senior season after having won 1st Team All-District Honors from the previous year. Nate immediately began making an impact, winning all tournament recognition at the Caldwell and Luling tournaments. He was the SBLive Texas state athlete of the week for the week of 1/29/24. He was a 4 time winner of the KTIMe player of the week. Nate's accolades continued as he earned District MVP of District 22-4A. Nate's stats on the year were 21.3 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.6 apg, and 1.4 spg. Nate accumulated 14 double-doubles on the season. He also established the single season scoring record at LG high school with 723 total points in his senior campaign and ended with a total of 1,317 career points scored. "
