Lemming Notes: The #1 prospect in California and one of the nation's overall top 10. On Film–#2 can do it all. He may just be the best big back in the country on offense and when he does play defense, he is a difference maker at the OLB or SS position. He is an outstanding athlete who is explosive out of his stance and he sometimes looks like he is being shot out of a cannon as he approaches the QB. He spends more time on offense but if he were to play DE or OLB on every down we would be talking about, perhaps, the nation's #1 defensive player. When coming off the ball he can bend to the extent where it sometimes looks like he is parallel to the ground, has terrific closing speed, and looks thin at 218 pounds. We had his game highlights a couple times on my CBS Max Preps Report show this past fall and he impresses you with his straight up and down style, burst, vision, balance, and strength. His quickness to the hole on offense and his quickness off the edge on defense is the key to his game. A high school difference maker with terrific instincts, he should be an immediate impact player once he gets to college but I just don't know at what position. Stats–Rushed for 1,890 yds and 20 TDs on his way to earning All-City honors and fumbled just once all year. Other Sports–Has been timed in a 11.1 100 and a 22.4 200 meters in track. Grades–His GPA is 3.3. Benches 275 and has a remarkable 38" VJ. Favorite Schools–His father, Tony Brooks, and his uncle Reggie Brooks, played ball at Notre Dame. Right now he is looking at NOTRE DAME, USC, STANFORD, TN, FSU, CO, UCLA, MI, and CAL.
