Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC), 4-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mavericks face the Zebulon B. Vance Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a I-Meck 4A challenge, on Friday, April 13. Mallard Creek will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 9-0 league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC).

The Blue Devils now have a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Mecklenburg for a I-Meck 4A challenge on Friday, April 13. Mooresville will face a Vikings team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 5-7.
