The Saginaw Rough Riders basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Maypearl Panthers to 33 in the Rough Riders non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rough Riders now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Guyer for a 5A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 4. Saginaw will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 43-39 non-league loss to Nimitz (Irving, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-14.

The Panthers (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Grandview (Grandview, TX). The Zebras enter the 2A Region II District 15 contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Grandview ran past Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX), 51-31, in a non-league contest.
