Arizona High School Basketball - Cactus Shadows holds off Thunderbird

Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Thunderbird Chiefs (Phoenix, AZ), 74-72 in a league bout.

With the win, Cactus Shadows upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Falcons host Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 23. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 14-8. Notre Dame Prep won 60-42 in their recent league bout against Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) in a II Section II bout, on Thursday, January 24. Thunderbird will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 72-46 non-league win over North Pointe Prep (Phoenix, AZ).
