January 24, 2006: Minnetonka, MN 55305 Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) fans were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball team trounce the visiting Totino-Grace Eagles (Fridley, MN), 86-48 in a non-league game.
With the win, Hopkins improves its record to 13-2 on the season. The Royals host Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN) to meet the Thunderhawks in a non-league game on Friday, February 3. The Thunderhawks enter the game with a record of 10-3. Grand Rapids lost 53-44 in their recent league game against Bemidji (Bemidji, MN)
With the loss, Totino-Grace falls to 3-12 on the season. The Eagles travel to Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN) to meet the Red Knights in a North Suburban game on Thursday, February 9.
