The Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) football nudged the visiting Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM), 42-38 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Monarchs clash with the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 18. Manzano will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record.
