The La Vega Pirates volleyball team (Waco, TX), was dropped 2-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX)

The Wildcats (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Taylor (Taylor, TX). The Ducks enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Taylor defeated Evant (Evant, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Groesbeck Goats (Groesbeck, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 30. La Vega will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.

The Ladycats continued play on Friday morning of the Groesbeck with a straight set victory over Waco LaVega. Cayuga tightened up the defensive pressure on LaVega with the blocking of Blair and Baker in the middle, and continued to improve their offensive timing.
