California High School Basketball - Salesian overwhelmed by St. Mary's
February 2, 2009: Richmond, CA 94804 The Salesian Pride basketball team (Richmond, CA), was overwhelmed 63-20 in Monday's league battle with the visiting St. Mary's Panthers (Albany, CA)
The Panthers now possess a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Holy Names for a Bay Shore battle on Wednesday, February 4. St. Mary's will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 73-28 league loss to St. Patrick/St. Vincent (Vallejo, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 8-11.
The Pride (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Encinal (Alameda, CA). The Jets come into the Bay Shore battle with a 15-7 record. In their last battle, Encinal triumphed over Piedmont (Piedmont, CA), 71-64, in a league battle.
