January 20, 2018: Manchester, MD 21102 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) and the host Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD), saw Westminster's basketball squad overcome Manchester Valley by a tally of 75-62.
With the victory, Westminster improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Liberty (Sykesville, MD) to confront the Lions in a MVAL challenge on Monday, January 22. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Liberty won 66-53 in their recent league challenge against Winters Mill (Westminster, MD)
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Century Knights (Sykesville, MD) in a MVAL challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Manchester Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 55-53 league loss to Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD).
