Bridgeport Bulls (Bridgeport, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX), 50-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bridgeport upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulls travel to Kennedale (Kennedale, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 19. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Kennedale won 72-43 in their recent non-league bout against Azle (Azle, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 15. Ponder will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 76-36 non-league win over Howe (Howe, TX).
