Georgia High School Football - Crisp County succumbs to Monroe
October 20, 2006: Cordele, GA 31015 Monroe Tornadoes (Albany, GA) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA), 27-7 in a league challenge.
The Tornadoes now hold a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Westover for a 1-AAA challenge on Friday, October 27. Monroe will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 20-12 league loss to Dougherty (Albany, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 4-3.
With the defeat, Crisp County moves to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Worth County (Sylvester, GA) to clash with the Rams in a 1-AAA challenge on Friday, October 27. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Worth County lost 41-6 in their recent league challenge against Cairo (Cairo, GA)
