Kansas High School Basketball - Independence can't hold off Field Kindley
December 19, 2008: Independence, KS 67301 The Field Kindley Golden Tornado basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Independence Bulldogs to 52 in the Golden Tornado non-league triumph on Friday.
The Golden Tornado now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Columbus for a Southeast Kansas contest on Tuesday, January 6. Field Kindley will meet a Titans team coming off a 52-37 league loss to Fort Scott (Fort Scott, KS). The Titans record now stands at 1-3.
The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS). The Dragons enter the Southeast Kansas contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Pittsburg was nudged by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 37-29, in a league contest.
