December 29, 2011: Quarryville, PA 17566 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Solanco Golden Mules (Quarryville, PA) basketball squad edged the visiting York Catholic Fighting Irish (York, PA), by a margin of 57-53.
The Golden Mules (8-0) will now prepare for their outing against Ephrata (Ephrata, PA). The Mountaineers go into the Lancaster-Lebanon 2 outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Ephrata was tipped by Lampeter-Strasburg (Lampeter, PA), 35-27, in a non-league outing.
The Fighting Irish now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairfield for a York-Adams 4 outing on Tuesday, January 3. York Catholic will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 42-19 non-league win over York Christian (York, PA). The Knights record now stands at 3-2.
