The Sierra Chieftains softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Yosemite Badgers to 2 in the Chieftains league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Sierra moves its record to 4-8 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Washington Union (Fresno, CA) to play the Panthers in a North Sequoia game on Tuesday, May 6. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 22-10. Washington Union lost 7-1 in their recent league game against Liberty (Madera, CA)

Next up, the Badgers meet the Chowchilla Redskins (Chowchilla, CA) in a North Sequoia battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Yosemite will attempt to better on its 5-20 season record.
