North Carolina High School Soccer - North Surry nudges East Surry
September 25, 2018: Mount Airy, NC 27030 North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Greyhounds confront the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Western Piedmont Athletic 2A challenge, on Wednesday, September 26. North Surry will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 league win over Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC).
The Cardinals now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A challenge on Friday, September 28. East Surry will confront a Granite Bears team coming off a 8-0 league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 10-1.
