California High School Soccer - Bear River nudges Monterey Trail
September 21, 2011: Elk Grove, CA 95624 Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bruins battle the Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA) in a Pioneer Valley challenge, on Tuesday, September 27. Bear River will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Fighting Zebras go into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Victory Christian (Carmichael, CA).
The Mustangs now have a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Sheldon for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 22. Monterey Trail will battle a Huskies team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Stagg (Stockton, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 5-3.
