Texas High School Basketball - Palo Duro overwhelms Canyon
February 11, 2011: Canyon, TX 79015 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX) and the host Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX), saw Palo Duro's basketball squad trounce Canyon by a score of 77-54.
With the victory, Palo Duro improves its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Dons host Randall (Amarillo, TX) to play the Raiders in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 15. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 20-9. Randall won 58-55 in their recent league challenge against Hereford (Hereford, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Hereford Whitefaces (Hereford, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Canyon will attempt to improve on its 10-18 season record. The Whitefaces come into the challenge with a 9-17 record after their 58-55 league loss to Randall (Amarillo, TX).
