Illinois High School Basketball - Clifton Central tops Wilmington
December 1, 2018: Clifton, IL 60927 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) and the visiting Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), saw Clifton Central's basketball squad knock off Wilmington by a tally of 42-31.
With the victory, Clifton Central improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 3. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Prairie Central won 45-42 in their recent league challenge against Olympia (Stanford, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) in a Interstate Eight challenge, on Monday, December 3. Wilmington will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Coalers come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 53-34 league win over Manteno (Manteno, IL).
