Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) and the host Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX), saw Cypress Springs's basketball squad hold off Cypress Ranch by a count of 59-56.

With the victory, Cypress Springs upgrades its record to 22-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX) to play the Rams in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 12-18. Cypress Ridge lost 94-52 in their recent league challenge against Cypress Falls (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Cy-Fair Bobcats (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Cypress Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 17-12 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 13-16 record after their 60-57 league win over Cypress Lakes (Katy, TX).
