In Friday's non-league match, the host Southaven Chargers basketball team scored a decisive 72-40 triumph over the Ashland Blue Devils.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 3. Southaven will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 11-3 record after their 81-55 non-league win over Hardin County (Savannah, TN).
