North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alexander Central crushed by Watauga
October 8, 2018: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The Watauga Pioneers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Alexander Central Cougars to 0 in the Pioneers league victory on Monday.
The Pioneers now have a 21-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a 3A/4A Northwestern game on Wednesday, October 10. Watauga will meet a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 3-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 20-2.
The Cougars (9-13) will now prepare for their game against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots enter the 3A/4A Northwestern game with a 8-12 record. In their last game, Freedom dropped by Hickory (Hickory, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
