The Mt. Pleasant Tigers routed the visiting Marshall Mavericks basketball team by a final score of 86-49 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Texas Tigers (Texarkana, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 game, on Tuesday, January 9. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to move on its 17-4 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 4-5 record after their 63-48 league loss to Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX).
