California High School Soccer - Gertz-Ressler Academy nudges George Washington Prep
December 18, 2013: Los Angeles, CA 90007 Gertz-Ressler Academy Pumas (Los Angeles, CA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting George Washington Prep Generals (Los Angeles, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.
The Pumas now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to New Designs for a Ocean test on Thursday, January 16. Gertz-Ressler Academy will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Middle College (Los Angeles, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, George Washington Prep drops to 0-2 on the season. The Generals host San Pedro (San Pedro, CA) to encounter the Pirates in a Marine test on Wednesday, January 15. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 3-1. San Pedro lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Channel Islands (Oxnard, CA)
