California High School Basketball - Kennedy edges Whitney
January 17, 2009: Cerritos, CA 90703 The Kennedy Fighting Irish (La Palma, CA) basketball nipped the host Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA), 45-39 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Fighting Irish (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Loara (Anaheim, CA). The Saxons go into the Empire test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Loara was tipped by Valencia (Placentia, CA), 52-14, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they host Oxford Academy for a Academy test on Friday, January 23. Whitney will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 29-28 league loss to St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-12.
