December 19, 2017: Lorenzo, TX 79343 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lorenzo Hornets (Lorenzo, TX) and the visiting Plainview Christian (Plainview, TX), saw Lorenzo's basketball squad hold off Plainview Christian by a tally of 78-75.
With the victory, Lorenzo improves its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Petersburg (Petersburg, TX) to confront the Buffaloes in a 1A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, December 22. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Petersburg won 71-32 in their recent league challenge against Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX)
Next up, the confront the Clovis Christian Eagles (Clovis, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Plainview Christian will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 65-52 non-league loss to Dora (Dora, NM).
