The Avon Old Farms Beavers basketball team (Avon, CT), was nudged 56-53 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Hotchkiss Bearcats (Lakeville, CT)

The Bearcats now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Salisbury School for a non-league battle on Monday, January 11. Hotchkiss will meet a Crimson Knights team coming off a 56-54 non-league loss to Trinity-Pawling (Pawling, NY). The Crimson Knights record now stands at 5-2.

The Beavers (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ). The Bucs come into the non-league battle with a 5-1 record.
