First Quarter
The first quarter began as a free throw shooting affair for TMSA, with the team making more from the line (7) than from the field (3) to start the game off. East Wake was able to keep pace pretty well, finding holes in the Tigers' defense for some easy buckets in the opening frame.
Second Quarter
The second quarter was a mixed bag for East Wake, both able to convert some from the field and earn their way to some points at the charity stripe as well. However, TMSA was able to do the same and took a five-point advantage going into the halftime break.
Third Quarter
TMSA came out of the locker room with a vengeance, outscoring East Wake 22-9 and stretching their lead out to as many as 18 points, causing turnover-after-turnover-after-turnover by East Wake with their full-court pressure defense. They also made East Wake pay for those mistakes expensively, knocking down four from beyond the arc in the quarter to extend their advantage.
Fourth Quarter
The final frame put the youth of the TMSA squad on display, showing their struggle in closing out games. Liberal whistles and poor positioning found them in the penalty early, and East Wake cashed in , knocking down 10 of 14 free throw attempts on their way to 23 4th-quarter points. However, TMSA was able to hold serve with 18 points of their own in the quarter, drilling three more from downtown at key points to seal the deal for Head Coach Brandon Moore, giving him his first career win in the process in interscholastic competition as the program's leader.
