Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oxford Yellow Jackets (Oxford, AL), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Bears now own a 14-12 record.

With the loss, Oxford falls to 24-22 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 10. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 27-16. Fort Payne won 9-7 in their recent league challenge against Albertville (Albertville, AL)
