New Jersey High School Basketball - Manville can't hold off North Plainfield
January 25, 2018: North Plainfield, NJ 07060 The North Plainfield Canucks basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the visiting Manville Mustangs to 33 in the Canucks league victory on Thursday.
The Canucks now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perth Amboy Vo-Tech for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. North Plainfield will battle a Patriots team coming off a 39-25 league win over East Brunswick Vo-Tech (East Brunswick, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 9-4.
The Mustangs (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bernards (Bernardsville, NJ). The Mountaineers come into the Skyland - Valley contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Bernards was nudged by Warren Hills Regional (Washington, NJ), 58-42, in a league contest.
