The Central Cabarrus Vikings football squad scored 42 points and limited the host Piedmont Panthers to 9 in the Vikings non-league win on Friday.

The Vikings now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league battle on Friday, August 24. Central Cabarrus will play a Ragin' Bulls squad coming off a 31-0 non-league win over Concord (Concord, NC). The Ragin' Bulls record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Panthers play the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 24. Piedmont will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Pirates go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 56-35 non-league win over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).
