Tennessee High School Basketball - Macon County crushes Trousdale County
January 4, 2011: Lafayette, TN 37083 Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Trousdale County Yellowjackets (Hartsville, TN), 68-28 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Macon County upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Tigers host Goodpasture Christian (Madison, TN) to play the Cougars in a AA District 9 bout on Friday, January 7. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Goodpasture Christian lost 55-51 in their recent non-league bout against Donelson Christian Academy (Nashville, TN)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs (Red Boiling Springs, TN) in a A District 8 bout, on Friday, January 7. Trousdale County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 17-2 record after their 58-39 league win over Watertown (Watertown, TN).
