Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Grant Tigers (Grant, MI), 64-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Big Rapids upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Cadillac (Cadillac, MI) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Cadillac lost 62-52 in their recent league bout against Petoskey (Petoskey, MI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI) in a Central State - Gold bout, on Friday, February 2. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
