California High School Baseball - Burroughs prevails West Ranch
April 25, 2009: Burbank, CA 91506 The Burroughs Indians (Burbank, CA) baseball trounced the visiting West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA), 11-2 in Saturday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Indians encounter the Pasadena Bulldogs (Pasadena, CA) in a Pacific contest, on Tuesday, April 28. Burroughs will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 13-1 league win over Muir (Pasadena, CA).

In the second game of a double header, West Ranch pitchers struggled to get outs as the Cats lost 11-2. Jared Ortiz pitched again in the second game and allowed no earned runs in 2 more innings of work. Both runs for the Wildcats came on solo home runs. The first by Mitchell Thompson and the second by Cal Vogelsang. Jared Ortiz had 2 hits.
Meanwhile, Nate Albers pitched great for Burroughs, throwing six strong innings for the Tribe against a dangerous West Ranch line-up. Albers struck out seven and walked three. AJ Dupre was 4-for-4 for the Indians (14-5, 6-2).
