Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks (Murrieta, CA) and the host Sierra Canyon Trailblazers (Chatsworth, CA), saw Murrieta Valley's basketball squad trounce Sierra Canyon by a score of 80-55.

With the victory, Murrieta Valley improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Redlands (Redlands, CA) to play the Terriers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 3-10.

Next up, the Trailblazers play the Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals (Montebello, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 2. Sierra Canyon will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 72-65 non-league loss to Muir (Pasadena, CA).
