Nebraska High School Basketball - Kearney Catholic tops Lexington
January 8, 2019: Kearney, NE 68847 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE) and the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE), saw Kearney Catholic's basketball squad knock off Lexington by a tally of 63-48.
With the victory, Kearney Catholic improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Stars host Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 10. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Broken Bow won 62-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Gibbon (Gibbon, NE)
Next up, the Minutemen play the Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 11. Lexington will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Discoverers come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 59-31 non-league loss to Fremont (Fremont, NE).
