Wahpeton Huskies (Wahpeton, ND) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Valley City Hi-Liners (Valley City, ND), 71-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Wahpeton upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Huskies travel to Shanley (Fargo, ND) to play the Deacons in a A East bout on Tuesday, February 16. The Deacons go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Shanley won 75-63 in their recent league bout against Fargo South (Fargo, ND)

Next up, the Hi-Liners play the Sheyenne Mustangs (West Fargo, ND) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 19. Valley City will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record.
