The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) softball routed the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), 10-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs (27-5) will now prepare for their bout against Cienega (Vail, AZ). The Bobcats go into the non-league bout with a 23-8 record. In their last bout, Cienega held off Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ), 14-0, in a league bout.

The Scorpions now possess a 28-3 record. They play next when they host Tucson High Magnet School for a non-league bout on Saturday, May 9. Desert Edge will confront a Badgers squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Cienega (Vail, AZ). The Badgers record now stands at 17-14.
