The match started slowly as both teams worked to gain an edge. Midway through the first half Guillermo Muniz started the scoring with a well placed ball off a throw in. Michael Allen followed up shortly after with a ball to the same side of the net. Leonel Ambriz completed the first half scores with a ball by the goalkeeper from within the goal box. Second half scores were notched by Nick Perea and Derek Brown. Carlos Anguiano assisted on three of the goals. Hemet responded with a counter attack goal deep into the second half.
