California High School Basketball - Princeton can't hold off Providence
January 8, 2015: Princeton, CA 95970 The Providence Lions basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Princeton Eagles to 37 in the Lions league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westwood for a non-league contest on Friday, January 9. Providence will battle a Lumberjacks team coming off a 53-49 non-league win over Butte Valley (Dorris, CA). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 2-1.
The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Loyalton (Loyalton, CA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Loyalton nudged Providence (Orland, CA), 84-23, in a non-league contest.
