Game Summary
Neither team had been able to practice or play in the last two weeks due to the copious amounts of rain. This game was also moved to the Smith River Sports Complex since Westover’s field was unplayable. Both teams showed their rust in the first half & went into the halftime break scoreless. The Tornados would waste little time getting on the scoreboard in the second half when in just the first minute they were able to burst through the Bulldog defense & burry a shot past the keeper. Then in the 59th minute Timberlake scored again this time on an incredible shot from the top of the box, that no keeper would have a chance at stopping. This made the score 2-0 in favor of Timberlake. The Bulldogs would continue to fight hard though, & would score in the 62nd minute when Adam Dawson took a long through ball from Paul Hughes, turned down the end line & with zero angle, shot it past the Timberlake keeper. WCA would try to push numbers forward in the closing seconds, but it was to no avail.
