New Mexico High School Softball - La Cueva bounces Rio Grande
March 31, 2011: Albuquerque, NM 87122 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM), saw La Cueva's softball squad achieve victory over Rio Grande by a count of 14-2.
The Bears now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Piedra Vista for a non-league match on Saturday, April 2. La Cueva will face a Panthers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Freedom (Oakley, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Rio Grande falls to 0-2 on the campaign.
