Nebraska High School Basketball - Chase County overwhelms Southern Valley
January 8, 2019: Imperial, NE 69033 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) and the visiting Southern Valley Eagles (Oxford, NE), saw Chase County's basketball squad wallop Southern Valley by a tally of 68-23.
With the victory, Chase County improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Perkins County (Grant, NE) to play the Plainsmen in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 10. The Plainsmen come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Perkins County lost 47-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Sutherland (Sutherland, NE)
Next up, the Eagles play the Holdrege Dusters (Holdrege, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 11. Southern Valley will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Dusters come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 62-37 non-league loss to Kearney Catholic (Kearney, NE).
