In Saturday's non-league challenge, the The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX) baseball squad the host Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), by a final score of 4-0.

With the win, The Woodlands upgrades its record to 13-0 on the season. The Highlanders host Lufkin (Lufkin, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region II District 14 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Lufkin won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Marshall (Marshall, TX)
