December 7, 2017: Rogers, AR 72758 Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rogers Mountaineers (Rogers, AR), 46-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Southside (Fort Smith, AR) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Southside won 70-63 in their recent non-league bout against Waynesville (Waynesville, MO)
Next up, the Mountaineers play the Waynesville Tigers (Waynesville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 70-63 non-league loss to Southside (Fort Smith, AR).
