California High School Basketball - Anzar nips Pacific Collegiate
January 30, 2018: San Juan Bautista, CA 95045 Anzar Hawks (San Juan Bautista, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Pacific Collegiate Pumas (Santa Cruz, CA), 54-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Anzar upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Hawks host Ceiba College Preparatory Academy (Watsonville, CA) to play the Spartans in a Mission Trail - Coastal bout on Thursday, February 1. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 0-7. Ceiba College Preparatory Academy lost 73-36 in their recent league bout against Marina (Marina, CA)
Next up, the Pumas play the Gonzales Spartans (Gonzales, CA) in a Mission Trail - Coastal bout, on Thursday, February 1. Pacific Collegiate will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 64-32 league win over Anzar (San Juan Bautista, CA).
