The Braves now hold a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Graham-Kapowsin for a 4A SPSL - South outing on Thursday, April 26. Bethel will confront a Eagles team coming off a 8-6 league loss to Rogers (Puyallup, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-7.
In their next game, the Sentinels battle the Emerald Ridge Jaguars (South Hill, WA) in a 4A SPSL - South test, on Friday, April 27. Spanaway Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-16 season record. The Jaguars come into the test with a 9-8 record after their 10-1 league loss to Puyallup (Puyallup, WA).
Game Summary
Bethel's Cory Nelson was dominant in his last start against Spanaway Lake. The left-handed senior went the distance, striking out 14 and only allowing three base runners in his complete game no-hitter. Spanaway Lake's second baseman, Jordan Mullins, ended the game by popping up to second baseman Bryan Widener to seal the deal for Nelson and the Braves.
