Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cumberland Beavers (Cumberland, WI) and the visiting Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI), saw Cumberland's basketball squad hold off Northwestern by a score of 44-42.

With the victory, Cumberland improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Osceola (Osceola, WI) to battle the Chieftains in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7.
